I've decided to try something rather ambitious with Loovee. I'm aiming to make her a new article of clothing every single week. It could be something as elaborate as a two piece outfit or as simple as a headband. Whatever it may be, that's my goal -- to slowly expand her presently pathetic excuse for a wardrobe.
So in this first installment of Project Loovee, I was inspired by these kawaii appliqués. I didn't want anything too frou-frou because I really wanted to feature the appliqué. Thus, I sketched this simple A-line dress.
As you can see, I nixed the ruffle at the hem because I discovered that linen unravels like crazy. Instead, I wrapped all the edges with a cotton bias binding. Machine sewing such tiny binding is a nightmare for me, so I opted to sew it on by hand. Actually, the whole dress is hand sewn. Although, it wasn't exactly as I planned, I think it came out alright. It looks like a crafty apron style dress.
Here's Loovee modeling her latest dress and enjoying her new Re-Ment Fashion Mannequin. Now she gets busy draping and pinning right next me as I'm sewing away.
After taking a long holiday break from my Etsy shop, I'm starting to gear up for its reopening in a week or so. These two amigurumi bunnies will be the first softies to be listed. They are presently in various stages of development, but I do hope to get them done this weekend.
Well, this is a round up of what I've been fiddling with this past week. Happy Friday everyone!

I love that dress!
What a sweet little dress! And the bunnies are so cute! You're very talented :)
Loovee is lucky to have someone care for her as much as you. I love what you did with the dress, and to have it personally designed and hand-made makes it all the more special. The bunnies...cute is too feeble of a word to accurately describe what they are. Fantastic job, as usual.

Hi!
That's a lovely dress! I can't believe you made it by hand, it's so good! I bet Loovee is very happy with it :)
I already added your blog to my favorite, so I will come here more often! :)
I like your way to design your Blythe clothes, draw first, and then make it, it's very organized. I got to learn from you to do the same thing. I would like to design my own clothes for my Alla, but sometimes i have no idea what to do first, looking at your blog I learn how to start a project and I love it. Thank you for sharing your idea and design, it inspires me a lot.
I love her little sewing kit! And I will definitely be watching for your softies!
The dress is so cute, and those bunnies are adorable! How big (small?) are they?
I think I'm in love with the things you made! That Blythe dress is so cute!

Awww thank you for featuring my little shop! I must say, I adore your dresses. The colour selections are so fabulous and remind me of sugared almonds! I'm not surprised they sold out so quick :D
I love the pic of the cupcake version 2.0 of the 3 cupcakes side by side! They are soo cute! I'm wondering if you'd give permission to incorporate that picture into my blog design for my cake decorating site? I'd absolutely give you all the credit! Thanks for your consideration!
